this is unsettling moment for me, as this is where I used to work, the archeological site is in At-Tuwani and the Israeli Jewish settlers visited happens to be where I had probably the most amazing religious experience of my life.
This is an old Byzantine-era Church, and before I knew it was buried there, I experienced the living Christ, as he walked with me in December 2010....

this is the village I was in during my last CPT stint in September 2011. I witnessed the aftermath of that demolition… As you can see from my earlier 2011 photos the village sits cheek by jowl next to the newer but illegal Israeli Jewish settlement of Carmel.

Not that I am biased, however there are actually tangible differences here in Germany that apart from Sweden I haven’t seen in other parts of the world. I, as a citizen of a large industrial Germany city have a a better (environmental) quality of life that I could imagine in a smallish UK or Italian city.

81st German Yearly Meeting - 2011
Dear readers,
yesterday we finished our 81st Yearly Meeting of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers) in Germany and Austria.
I am feeling spiritually renewed, the theme was “Wahrhaftig Leben: Ent-täuscht und erhellt werden”.
Becoming authentic: Disillusionment and Enlightenment.
We also had several items on Israel and Palestine, e.g. Medical care in Gaza, kairos Document,...
What is truth?
Just realised I’ve not posted for a while! Well this afternoon I will be travelling down to the annual gathering of the religious society of Friends(of the truth) a.k.a Quakers in Germany.
